Codex Sinaiticus (A.D. 350) the oldest extant manuscript of the NT, will be made available online this Thursday, July 24 by the Codex Sinaiticus Project website.
According to an article in Yahoo! News, high resolution images of the Gospel of Mark, several Old Testament books, and notes on the work made over centuries will appear on Codex-Sinaiticus as a first step towards publishing the entire manuscript online by next July.
Codex Sinaiticus is given primacy of position in the list of New Testament manuscripts. Discovered by Tischendorf in the middle of the 19th century at the monastery of St. Catharine on Mount Sinai, Codex Sinaiticus is the only known complete copy of the Greek New Testament.
